Abyss Vault: An Underwater VR Adventure for the Whole Family
Available now at both locations, Abyss Vault is an immersive free roam VR experience suitable for ages 6 and up, making it one of the most family-friendly additions to London's growing VR scene.
The story: The world's elites built N.O.V.A., a luxury megastructure deep beneath the ocean, and filled it with everything Earth had left, biological samples, knowledge, the last hope for new life. Now it's up to your rebel squad to infiltrate the vault, steal back what was taken, and hijack their rocket. But the vault doesn't want visitors.
Players decode puzzles, navigate moving platforms, outwit deadly enemies, and experience one of the only VR zipline mechanics available in a free roam experience in London. The game culminates in a boss battle against a colossal mechanical crab, requiring genuine teamwork to defeat.
Abyss Vault accommodates 2 to 6 players per team, with up to 3 teams competing simultaneously. Sessions run up to 40 minutes, making it a strong option for family days out, birthday celebrations, or something different to do together over the school holidays.
The experience was developed by Hololabs Studio and blends action gameplay with collaborative puzzle-solving, a combination that works as well for groups of adults as it does for families with children.
The Break-In: A New Kind of VR Experience for Teens and Older Groups
Also now live at both Omescape VR locations, The Break-In is a uniquely hybrid experience, the first at Omescape VR to combine escape room-style investigation gameplay with shooting mechanics.
The scenario: Crompton Bank. Middle of the night. A heavily armed gang has hit the vault and vanished. Players take on the role of an elite Special Forces unit, investigating the scene, tracking digital evidence, and racing to unravel the gang's next move.
Designed for ages 12 and above, The Break-In runs for approximately 40 minutes and supports groups of 2 to 6 per team, with up to 3 teams playing simultaneously. The combination of investigation and combat mechanics makes it a standout choice for teenagers and groups of friends looking for more of a challenge this summer.
VR Experiences Available at Two Central London Locations
Omescape VR operates two venues in central London, both easily accessible by public transport:
Omescape VR Southbank - 2-minute walk from Southwark station; wheelchair accessible
Omescape VR Aldgate - 8-minute walk from Aldgate East tube station
Both venues are fully free roam, meaning players move physically within a real space while immersed in the virtual world - removing the risk of motion sickness associated with static VR, and making the experience accessible to first-time players. No prior VR experience is required.
